Edwards (knee) has been cleared for all basketball activities, Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports reports.

Edwards played a total of just eight games during his sophomore campaign, before a knee injury cut his season short. With a full offseason for rest and recovery, he's now been cleared for all basketball activities, which means he should be ready to go for the start of the regular season. Edwards has averaged just over 10.0 minutes in each of his first two years at Providence, so he'll need to pick up a larger workload to become a more relevant fantasy option.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Edwards played in his third game this season and scored three points in eight minutes during the win over New Hampshire on Wednesday.

Edwards has started the season slowly after undergoing knee surgery in June. He has appeared in three games but has not played more than 15 minutes. The 6-4 sophomore could still have an effect on the season, but he will have to build up strength slowly.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Edwards (knee) made his season debut Monday against St. Francis (NY). He scored four points in 15 minutes.

Edwards missed the first three games while recovering from offseason knee surgery. The 6-4 sophomore averaged 2.5 points in 10.7 minutes last season. As his health improves, Edwards could compete for wing minutes with Jalen Lindsey and Ryan Fazekas.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Edwards, who underwent knee surgery in June, has yet to be cleared for contact, Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports reports.

Edwards was a modest contributor for the Friars as a freshman, posting 2.5 PPG over roughly 11 minutes per contest. Following the departure of guard Kris Dunn and his 33 MPG average, there are a surplus of minutes available in the backcourt, and Edwards had been a candidate to pick up a good chunk. His lack of practice time may hurt his chances of earning a starting job, but look for Edwards to be back in the rotation around the start of conference play.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Edwards scored a career-high 17 points in the win over Bryant on Saturday. He added three assists and five steals.

Edwards received extra playing time because Kris Dunn did not play due to an illness. The 6-3 freshman had not scored more than four points in any of his previous 10 games. He could be a player to consider next year after Dunn moves on.
