Copeland has received a waiver from the NCAA and will be eligible for the entire 2017-18 season, Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports reports.

Copeland was a mid-season transfer away from Georgetown last season after seeing his workload decline. Normally, he wouldn't be able to take the floor until midway through the 2017-18 campaign, but the NCAA has granted him an exception. It's a huge win for Nebraska, as during the 2015-16 campaign, the forward posted 11.1 points, 5.4 rebounds and 2.0 assists across 32.0 minutes per contest.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Copeland will transfer to Nebraska, Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports reports.

Copeland saw a major minutes decline this year for Georgetown after putting together a pair of impressive seasons to start his career, which ultimately led to his decision to transfer. Due to NCAA transfer rules, he likely won't be able to see the floor until midway through next season, but expect Copeland to be a mainstay in Nebraska coach Tim Miles' rotation as soon as he is declared eligible.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Copeland is transferring from the Georgetown basketball program, Gene Wang of the Washington Post reports.

Copeland had seen a major decline in minutes, going from 32.0 minutes a game during the 2015-16 season to 19.6 per game this year, so it's understandable why he would want to transfer. A former starter and member of the Big East All-Freshman team, the junior shouldn't have much trouble finding another Division I program to play for.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Copeland (face) returned from a two-game absence and played five scoreless minutes in the win over Elon on Sunday.

Copeland played 37 minutes on Nov. 15, but saw his minutes dwindle until he was out for two games. The 6-9 junior has a wide variety of offensive skills, but will need to earn his way back into the rotation. He is converting just 27.5 percent of his field goals and has not hit a 3-pointer in 10 attempts.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Copeland (face) missed his second consecutive game Wednesday against Coppin State.

Copeland's next chance to return will be Sunday against Elon, but if the junior forward is once again unable to go, look for Akoy Agau to see yet another start.

November 27, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Copeland did not play on Sunday after suffering a facial injury on Wednesday against Oklahoma State in the Maui Invitational.

Copeland had already ceded his starting spot to Akoy Agau and played just three minutes against the Cowboys in the loss. The 6-9 junior had already had a decreased role this season and his injury allowed Agau to get more minutes. He had been a deep shooting funk, so maybe the time on the bench will help him see the game in a new light.

November 15, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Copeland had 13 points and 13 rebounds in the loss to Maryland on Tuesday. He was just 3-of-14 from the field.

Copeland only played 19 minutes in the opening blowout win over South Carolina Upstate and still hit as many shots as he did in the second game. The 6-9 junior should get big minutes going forward.

March 5, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Copeland had six points and a season-high 13 points in the loss to Villanova on Saturday.

The Hoyas fell apart in the second half of the Big East season and lost nine of their last 10 games. Copeland averaged 14.0 points over those games. Georgetown will face DePaul on Wednesday in the Big East tournament. Copeland averaged 12.5 points and 6.5 rebounds against the Blue Demons.
