RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Lewis tallied four receptions for 37 yards in Sunday's 29-11 loss to the Redblacks.

Lewis continues to find ways to contribute regardless of the instability behind center. The veteran has at least four grabs in five consecutive games, despite posting single-digit YPC figures in each of those contests. He'll look to continue producing against the Argonauts in Week 14.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Lewis totaled six receptions for 42 yards in Friday's 41-18 loss to the Lions.

Just another day at the office for the CFL's all-time receptions king, who's now posted no less than five catches in each of the past four games, and has reached or eclipsed that mark in all but two games this season. Lewis continues to do the bulk of his damage in the short-to-intermediate passing game, as he hasn't generated a double-digit yards per catch average since Week 8. He'll look to replicate the feat yet again versus the Redblacks in Week 13.

September 1, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Lewis hauled in five receptions for 41 yards in Thursday's 32-4 loss to the Redblacks.

The newly-minted all-time CFL receptions leader fittingly led the Als in catches on a night where very little went right for the offense. Lewis continued to do the majority of his work within close proximity of the line of scrimmage, as Thursday's average of 8.2 yards per grab marked his third straight game in single digits in that category and sixth overall on the season. Lewis has one of the better fantasy floors as far as receivers are concerned, and having almost no downfield role likely helps him remain largely immune to the inconsistent quarterback play he's been subjected to this season. He'll look to keep his steady production going against the Lions in Week 12.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Lewis caught 10 passes for 88 yards in Thursday's 34-31 overtime loss to the Blue Bombers, passing Geroy Simon to become the CFL's career leader in receptions with 1,031.

Fittingly, he caught his record-setting pass from Darian Durant, who was QB for Saskatchewan when Simon won the crown from Ben Cahoon in 2013. The 35-year-old Lewis is definitely showing his age -- his 9.3 yards per catch this season is a career low, and nearly two yards off his mark from 2016 -- but he should remain an effective possession option for the Als in the second half.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Lewis totaled six receptions for 42 yards in Saturday's 38-6 loss to the Argos, passing Ben Cahoon for second on the CFL's all-time reception list.

The veteran provided what was essentially the lone bright spot for the Als on an otherwise forgettable afternoon. Lewis now has a whopping 1,020 receptions in a career that's spanned 13-plus seasons, and he's hauled in between six and eight catches in three of the last four games. The 35-year-old has demonstrated solid rapport with quarterback Darian Durant and will look to continue producing in Week 10 against the Blue Bombers.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Lewis is listed as a reserve slotback on the depth chart for Saturday's matchup with the Argonauts.

Lewis has started every game this season, but he will move into a backup role this week with Samuel Giguere coming off the injured list and assuming the starting slotback spot opposite B.J. Cunningham. It's not entirely clear how this will affect Lewis' role, but at the least there will now be another pass catcher seeking snaps at his position.

July 19, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Lewis caught eight passes for 64 yards and a touchdown in Wednesday's 24-19 loss to the Redblacks.

His fifth reception of the evening was a special one, as it made the 35-year-old just the fourth receiver in CFL history to reach 1,000 catches for his career, joining Geroy Simon, Ben Cahoon and Terry Vaughn. Lewis also passed Cahoon to move into sixth place on the all-time receiving yards list with 13,387. Coming off a 2016 campaign in which he hauled in a career-high 102 passes and topped 1,000 yards for the 10th time (putting him one shy of Vaughn for the most such seasons in CFL history), it's clear that the long-time Stampeder still has plenty left in the tank.

July 6, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Lewis caught five passes for 50 yards in Thursday's 23-16 loss to the Lions.

He's been the most consistent of Darian Durant's targets so far in 2017, catching exactly five passes for between 42 and 60 yards in all three games so far. Lewis has yet to get into the end zone, which isn't unusual for the veteran slotback given his five TDs in 48 games over the last three seasons. Expect him to receive plenty of looks next week as the Als try to keep pace with the high-flying Stampeders.

July 1, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Lewis caught five passes for 42 yards in Friday's 23-19 loss to Edmonton.

A swarming green and gold defense held Montreal's passing game -- and Lewis in particular -- in check, as the veteran slotback managed just eight yards after the catch on the evening. Lewis recorded his 10th career 1,000-yard season in 2016, and as he develops more chemistry with new quarterback Darian Durant his numbers should tick up.

June 22, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Lewis caught five passes for 60 yards in Thursday's 17-16 win over the Roughriders.

The 35-year-old slotback enjoyed a bit of a renaissance last year, topping 1,000 receiving for the first time since 2012, but Lewis has a number of younger teammates ready to cut into his snaps and targets if he shows any signs of slipping. Don't assume he's a lock for another productive season despite his CFL pedigree.

June 22, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Lewis is listed as a starting slotback for Thursday's season opener against the Roughriders.

Lewis had his first 1,000-yard campaign since 2012 a year ago and finished as the Alouettes' leading receiver. He figures to be one of the top options in Montreal's passing game again this season, but at age 35 and with fellow receiver Ernest Jackson brought over during the offseason, he could hard pressed to lead the team in receiving again.

January 4, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Lewis signed a two-year contract with the Alouettes on Wednesdsay, Calgary radio announcer Mark Stephen reports.

Lewis will turn 35 next June and has played for Montreal the past two seasons, recording 172 receptions, 1,879 yards and five touchdowns in 35 games played. His 102 receptions in 2016 were a career high and his 977 career receptions are just 53 short of the CFL record. Expect him to see a similar role in the offense next year as he's had the past two seasons, though he could see a slight reduction as a result of the many young and developing receiving options also on Montreal's roster.

November 6, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Lewis caught four passes for 67 yards in Saturday's win over the Tiger-Cats.

2016 proved to be a big return to form for Lewis, as he topped 1000 yards for the first time since he was a Stampeder in 2012 while catching a career-high 102 passes. The 34-year-old should be a key part of an otherwise young and improving Als passing game next year if he returns to Montreal.

October 16, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Lewis caught five passes for a team-high 65 yards in Saturday's loss to the Stampeders.

The recent struggles of the Montreal offense have capped Lewis' production, but he still has 14 catches for 158 yards over his last three games. With the team essentially playing out the string on the season though, don't expect a big turnaround from Lewis.

October 10, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Lewis managed 49 yards on four receptions in Monday's 40-20 loss to the Eskimos.

The veteran slotback now has nine receptions over the last two weeks and continues to serve as a reliable checkdown and intermediate option for Rakeem Cato. Lewis has managed at least four receptions in all but two games this season and his 82 catches are his highest total in that category since a 100-reception campaign in 2012 with Calgary. He'll face off against his old Stamps teammates in a Week 17 tilt.

September 10, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Lewis caught five passes for 71 yards and a touchdown in Friday's loss to the Lions.

He's now scored in three of the last four games and Lewis' production wasn't impacted at all with Rakeem Cato under center Friday instead of Kevin Glenn. Expect another big performance from Lewis next Friday in Hamilton in what could be a shootout.

September 2, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Lewis totaled 10 receptions for 92 yards and a touchdown in Thursday's 19-14 loss to the Redblacks.

The veteran slotback continues to put together his best season in years, and remains on pace to potentially set career highs in receptions and yards. Lewis' 10 catches were a season best, while his yardage total was his third highest of the campaign. The 34-year-old also has logged of his touchdowns of 2016 in two of the last three weeks.

August 27, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Lewis totaled 58 yards on six catches in Friday's 32-18 loss to the Blue Bombers.

The veteran couldn't quite duplicate his outstanding output from Week 9 versus the Redblacks, but was second among Als wideouts in receptions on the night. Lewis has been a frequent target of Kevin Glenn over the last two weeks in particular, with 160 yards and a touchdown on 14 receptions over that span. While his production is bound to vary from game to game given the presence of Duron Carter in the Als receiving corps, Lewis has notably notched at least six receptions in six of his nine contests this season.

August 19, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Lewis totaled 102 yards and a touchdown on eight receptions in Friday's 43-19 victory over the Redblacks.

On a prolific night for the Als offense and QB Kevin Glenn, Lewis got the party started with a 10-yard touchdown in the first quarter that was his first in 17 games. The veteran slotback also made several other impressive catches throughout the game, including several in which he broke multiple tackles. Lewis delivered a punishing block that helped spring B.J. Cunningham for a 27-yard catch-and-run in the fourth period as well. The 34-year-old has proven he has plenty left in the tank this season and is on pace for his best reception and yardage totals since his 100-catch campaign of 2012.

July 30, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Lewis caught eight passes for 67 yards in Friday's rout of the Roughriders.

The 34-year-old veteran continues to be an effective possession receiver out of the slot. Lewis now has 36 catches for 346 yards in five games on the season, although he's still looking for his first TD.

July 26, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Lewis caught a team-high eight passes for 81 yards in Monday's loss to the Argos.

The 34-year-old CFL veteran remains an effective possession receiver and Lewis now has 28 catches for 279 yards in four games so far this season. With Duron Carter drawing plenty of attention on the outside, Lewis has a shot at his first 1000-yard season since 2012.

June 30, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Lewis garnered 114 yards on nine catches in Thursday's 28-13 loss to the Redblacks.

The veteran wideout became a focal point of the offense following the exits of S.J. Green (leg) and Duron Carter (ejection), and could certainly see a similar degree of opportunity if either or both are forced to miss the Als' Week 4 tilt versus Hamilton following next week's bye. The two-time Grey Cup champion tallied between 90 and 100 catches in the 2010-12 seasons-- and managed to haul in 70 in his first Alouettes campaign in 2015 at age 33-- so he's certainly proven capable of taking on the lion's share of targets when called upon.

June 25, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Lewis caught six passes for 51 yards in Friday's win over the Blue Bombers.

Duron Carter and S.J. Green will be Kevin Glenn's primary targets this season, but Lewis should still see enough action out of the slot to have a little value in his first CFL season.
