RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Johnson notched two receptions for 73 yards in Sunday's 41-8 loss to the Riders.

Despite a very difficult night for the Lions' passing game overall, Johnson stepped up with his best receiving yardage total of the season. The 24-year-old hasn't notched more than three receptions in any game this season, but he's shown some big-play upside with catches of 36, 41 and Sunday's season-best 52 yards. The major obstacle to consistent fantasy production for Johnson at present is the wealth of targets in the team's air attack, but current injuries to Bryan Burnham (foot) and Nick Moore (undisclosed) could continue opening up opportunities in the short-term.

Johnson posted 22 yards and a touchdown on three receptions in Saturday's 41-26 win over the Ti-Cats.

One week after establishing career bests in receptions and yardage, Johnson got into the end zone for the first time in his CFL career on an 11-yard catch-and-run in the first quarter. Johnson boasts sub-4.4 speed, so he certainly carries upside in the Lions' potent passing attack. He'll try to build on Saturday's effort when the Lions take on the Blue Bombers in Week 5.

Johnson caught three passes for 51 yards in Thursday's 23-16 win over the Alouettes.

After catching one 41-yard bomb last week, Johnson got a couple of more targets from Jonathon Jennings in Thursday's victory. The 24-year-old still appears to be Jennings' third or fourth option in the passing game, however, making him a risky play even in a potentially juicy matchup next week against the Tiger-Cats.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Johnson will start at wide receiver in Saturday's game against the Eskimos.

Johnson appeared in just two games for the Lions last year, but with fellow wide receiver Chris Williams (knee) opening the season on the injured list, Johnson will get a chance to make an impact right away for the Lions in 2017.
