RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Jennings (shoulder) is listed as the third-string quarterback on the depth chart for Friday's matchup with the Blue Bombers.

Jennings has not officially been ruled out for this week's game just yet, but his placement on the depth chart indicates he will be the Lions' emergency quarterback at best. Travis Lulay, who shined in relief last week, is set to get the start in Jennings' place.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Jennings is considered week-to-week after a reevaluation by doctors found no extensive damage to his shoulder.

Jennings was forced to leave Saturday's game against the Tiger-Cats early because of a bruised shoulder, but the fact that doctors have cleared him of anything significant likely means he's not going to miss extended time. The Lions' next matchup comes against the Blue Bombers on Friday, so consider Jennings questionable for that outing until additional information is provided later this week.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Jennings said he isn't concerned about his shoulder and that he is "fine", Matthew Scianitti of TSN reports.

Jennings bruised his shoulder in Saturday's game after taking a hard hit. His opinion provides optimism that he'll have a favorable injury status for Friday's game against the Blue Bombers.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Jennings (shoulder) is questionable to return to Saturday's game against the Tiger-Cats, TSN's Matthew Scianitti reports.

Jennings bruised his shoulder after getting throttled by a host of Tiger-Cats while attempting a pass in the first quarter. Travis Lulay will likely take over at quarterback for the rest of the game.

July 6, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Jennings completed 28 of 39 passes for 288 yards and a touchdown in Thursday's 23-16 win over the Alouettes.

He also picked up 27 rushing yards. The 24-year-old has had a solid start to the season. averaging 284.3 passing yards through three games while completing 67.6 percent of his passes, but as jennings did to begin last year he's having a little trouble getting the ball into the end zone, managing just a 2:1 TD:INT. That could change next week against a Tiger-Cats defense that got lit up by Ricky Ray and the Argos back in Week 1.

June 30, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Jennings completed 23 of 35 passes for 301 yards and a touchdown with an interception in Friday's 28-15 win over the Argos.

He also ran for 28 yards and hit Nick Moore for a two-point conversion. Jennings rebounded nicely from a Week 1 loss, firing passes to eight different receivers, and the 24-year-old quarterback will look to keep things rolling as he leads the Lions into Montreal on Thursday.

June 25, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Jennings completed 22 of 34 passes for 264 yards with no touchdowns or interceptions in Saturday's 30-27 loss to the Eskimos. He also gained 32 yards on five rushes.

Despite his final numbers appearing serviceable, Jennings' night didn't go nearly as smoothly as the stat line would indicate. The 24-year-old was frequently under duress due to an aggressive Eskimos defensive front and found a clean pocket hard to come by on several occasions. The pressure also forced Jennings to make multiple throws into tight coverage, resulting in a couple of near-interceptions. Edmonton's solid job on his top target Emmanuel Arceneaux added to his struggles, as the latter was limited to just three receptions for 20 yards. Jennings did put his rocket arm on display in the second half when he impressively fired a strike approximately 60 yards downfield to Nick Moore while throwing on the run, providing a glimpse of the talent that should make him a top DFS target this season. He and the Lions will look to bounce back when they take on the Argos on the road in Week 2.

June 19, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Jennings completed 10-of-14 passes for 197 yards and three touchdowns in the Lions' exhibition finale.

Jennings played sparingly in the Lions' first preseason game, but he saw far more opportunities in the second contest and appeared plenty ready for the regular season. Jennings had a breakout season in 2016, throwing for 5,226 yards and 27 touchdowns, and he could have an even better receiving corps than he had a year ago once Chris Williams (knee) and Nick Moore (knee) are back to 100 percent.

November 21, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Jennings completed 17 of 24 passes for 206 yards and a touchdown with one interception in Sunday's 42-15 loss to the Stampeders in the Western Final.

With the Lions down 32-0 at the half, Jennings was replaced by Travis Lulay as coach Wally Buono tried to spark a comeback, but Jennings was back under center before the third quarter had ended. The 24-year-old finished the regular season with very impressive numbers, and was one of only three QBs this year to throw for over 5000 yards and 25 TDs.

November 14, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Jennings completed 26 of 35 passes for 329 yards with two touchdowns and an interception in Sunday's 32-31 semi-final victory over the Blue Bombers. He added 43 yards and scored two touchdowns, including the game-winner, on nine rushes and also lost a fumble.

The 24-year-old provided the same spark he did throughout his breakout regular season and scored the winning touchdown on the ground from nine yards out with 1:06 remaining. Jennings overcame a slow start that included an interception on the second play of the game and just six first-half points overall for the Lions, as well as the loss of No. 1 receiver Ernest Arceneaux in the third quarter after a hard hit in the end zone. Jennings also coughed up the ball in the first half after a sack but was able to mount a second-half comeback with touchdowns to Bryan Burnham and Terrell Sinkfield, as well as his own pair of rushing scores. Jennings and the Lions will now face off with the Calgary Stampeders in next Sunday's Western Conference final.

November 6, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Jennings completed 17 of 25 passes for 307 yards with three touchdowns and an interception in Saturday's 41-18 victory over the Roughriders. He also gained 12 yards on two rushes.

Jennings' night got started very much on the wrong foot when he was picked off by the Riders' Ed Gainey, but everything from that point forward was an unqualified success. Jennings connected with Emmanuel Arcenaux for touchdowns of four and thirteen yards, while also completing a 41-yard bomb to Bryan Burham. The overall yardage total allowed Jennings to surpass the 5,000-yard mark on the season, joining Doug Flutie, Dave Dickenson and Casey Printers as other quarterbacks to have done so. The win secured a home playoff game for the Lions and given his stellar season, Jennings will certainly be a player to focus on for fantasy purposes in the postseason.

October 30, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Jennings completed 19 of 32 passes for 241 yards with two touchdowns and one interception in Saturday's 24-16 victory over the Roughriders. He also gained 28 yards on three rushes.

Jennings was as efficient as necessary in the relatively easy victory, notching a pair of touchdown passes for the third straight week in the process. The young gunslinger has fallen short of the 300-yard mark the last two weeks, but that has been much more the result of game script. He's now amassed a career high 4,919 yards and 24 touchdowns on the season over 17 starts, and will look to clinch a home playoff game with a win in the Week 20 rematch against this Saskatchewan squad.

October 23, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Jennings completed 21 of 28 passes for 273 yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions in Saturday's 32-25 win over the Eskimos. He also gained 26 yards and scored a touchdown on four rushes.

Jennings bounced back from a three-interception outing against the Blue Bombers in Week 17 to put together a highly efficient and mistake-free performance. He also used his above-average mobility to tally his first rushing touchdown since Week 6 and best rushing total since Week 12. Jennings now has multiple touchdown passes in four of the last five weeks and will try to keep his momentum going in a Week 19 matchup against the Roughriders.

October 15, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Jennings completed 22 of 29 passes for 327 yards with two touchdowns and three interceptions in Friday's 35-32 loss to the Blue Bombers. He also gained 22 yards on four rushes.

Jennings had thrown a pair of picks in Week 16, and his trio of miscues Friday proved costly. Of particular importance was the interception that Jennings threw to the Blue Bombers' Kevin Fogg with the Lions holding a seven-point lead at the 2:59 mark of the fourth quarter, a play that led to a 10-yard game-tying touchdown for Winnipeg on the very next play . The mistakes sullied an otherwise strong performance for the 24-year-old, who's now thrown for at least 300 yards in four of the last five games. While his five interceptions over the last two games are of considerable concern, Jennings remains a strong play when he takes on the vulnerable Eskimos in Week 18.

October 9, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Jennings completed 28 of 38 passes for 422 yards but threw two interceptions without a touchdown pass in Saturday's loss to the Blue Bombers.

It was his best game yardage-wise since he put up 429 yards in Week 4, but Jennings' inability to get the ball into the end zone proved costly in a game the Lions lost by just two points. He'll get another crack at Winnipeg's secondary in a rematch Friday back home in Vancouver.

October 2, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Jennings completed 20 of 25 passes for 348 yards and three touchdowns with no interceptions in Saturday's 40-33 victory over the Redblacks. He also gained 14 yards on four rushes.

The 24-year-old was outstanding while leading the Lions in a shootout against the Redblacks and Trevor Harris, who exploded for 485 yards on the night. Jennings spread the ball efficiently, hitting eight different receivers and finding three different pass catchers for his three touchdowns. Jennings went over 300 yards for the second time in the last three weeks and fired three scores for the fourth time on the season. He'll look to continue his stellar play when he faces the Blue Bombers in Week 16.

September 10, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Jennings completed 24 of 33 passes for 341 yards and a touchdown in Friday's win over the Alouettes.

Jeremiah Johnson was the offensive star Friday for the Lions, scoring three touchdowns, but Jennings was still able to put up good numbers. B.C. will get next week off before heading to Edmonton on Sept. 23 for a key West Division matchup.

September 1, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Jennings completed 22 of 31 passes for 199 yards with no touchdowns and an interception in Wednesday's 16-13 victory over the Argos. He also gained 20 yards on three rushes.

Jennings was under 200 yards passing for the second time in three weeks but was able to come through when it counted, leading a 10-play, 70-yard game-winning drive. The 24-year-old found four different receivers on the game-winning march, while also securing drive-extending first downs with his legs on two different occasions. Despite the heroics, the concern from a fantasy perspective is that Jennings now has only one touchdown in the last three contests, despite putting up 84 attempts over that span. He'll look to improve on those numbers when he faces the Als in Week 12.

August 26, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Jennings completed 23 of 31 passes for 289 yards and a touchdown in Thursday's win over the Redblacks.

He might have put up better overall numbers, but backup QB Travis Lulay came in and ran for two short TDs while throwing a two-point convert, taking some production out of Jennings' pocket. The 24-year-old is still enjoying a strong second season as the Lions' starting quarterback, and Jennings is on pace for nearly 5000 passing yards with 24 TDs this year.

August 20, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

jennings had arguably his worst game of the season in Friday's 37-9 loss to the Stampeders, completing just 10 of 22 passes for 153 yards.

It was the first time this season the second-year QB has completed less than half his passes. Jennings had thrown for 300-plus yards in four straight games heading into Friday with a 10:4 TD:INT over that stretch, so look for him to bounce back next Thursday in Ottawa.

August 14, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Jennings completed 20 of 32 passes for 306 yards with three touchdowns and an interception in Saturday's 45-38 victory over the Ti-Cats. He added 24 yards on three rushes.

The 24-year-old impressively put together his fourth straight game with at least 300 yards through the air and was clutch on the winning touchdown drive. Jennings hooked up with Shawn Gore for 25 yards and Emmanuel Arceneaux for 17 before finding the latter for the winning 30-yard score. Jennings completed passes to seven different receivers overall, finding Arceneaux for a pair of touchdowns while throwing a third to Bryan Burnham. He'll look to continue his stellar stretch of play when the Lions face off with the Stampeders next week.

August 5, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Jennings completed 27 of 32 passes for 331 yards and a touchdown with one interception in Thursday's 38-18 win over the Alouettes.

After a tough overtime loss to the Stamps last week Jennings rebounded in fine fashion, keeping the Lions' offense moving until their defense could put the game away in the fourth quarter. The second-year signal-caller is now averaging 290.3 passing yards a game through six starts in 2016 with an 8:4 TD:INT.

July 30, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Jennings completed 26 of 41 passes for 374 yards and three touchdowns with two interceptions while also rushing for 44 yards and a TD in Friday's wild 44-41 overtime loss to the Stampeders.

The Lions' defense lost a number of starters over the course of the game due to injury but Jennings was able to outscore the opposition for three quarters, until two late INTs (including one in OT) sent them home with a gut-wrenching loss. The second-year QB has put up solid numbers so far, throwing for 1411 yards and a 7:3 TD:INT through five games, so hopefully the late-game disaster was just a learning experience for Jennings and doesn't shake his confidence.

July 17, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Jennings completed 25 of 40 passes for 429 yards and three touchdowns with no interceptions in Saturday's 40-27 victory over the Roughriders. He also gained 30 yards and a touchdown on five rushes.

After having been pulled in favor of veteran Travis Lulay in Week 3, Jennings bounced back with the best effort of his career in Week 4. The 23-year-old was outstanding while connecting with nine different receivers and posting several long completions to Emmanuel Arceneaux, Nick Moore, Shawn Gore and Bryan Burnham. Jennings also added a rushing touchdown after alertly taking a pitch back from Anthony Allen when the latter was stuffed near the goal line and running it in himself for the score. Considering his resurgent performance, Jennings' hold on the starting job appears secure and he'll look to follow it up in Week 6 versus the Stamps.

July 8, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Jennings completed 11 of 18 passes for 132 yards with an interception before being replaced in the second half in Thursday's 25-14 loss to the Argos. He gained eight yards and scored a touchdown on four rushes as well.

The young quarterback was reasonably effective, but not enough to keep up with a highly efficient Argos attack. Jennings was able to score on the ground after a first-quarter 35-yard strike to Emmanuel Arceneaux was deemed to have come up just short of the goal line on replay, but otherwise struggled to move the ball consistently. Although he was replaced by Travis Lulay, it remains to be seen whether the change behind center endures into Week 4's tilt against the Roughriders.

July 2, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Jennings completed 16 of 27 passes for 228 yards and a touchdown in Friday's win over the Tiger-Cats. He also chipped in 12 rushing yards on three carries.

The Lions' offense didn't really get rolling until the second half, but with their defensive holding the Ti-Cats to just three points in the game, Jennings didn't need to be sharp to get the win. He should have an easier time moving the chains next week when B.C. hosts Toronto.

June 26, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Jennings completed 24 of 42 passes for 248 yards with no touchdowns or interceptions in Saturday's 20-18 victory over the Stamps. He added 41 yards on 10 rushes.

The versatile quarterback turned in a highly productive performance, keeping the Stamps defense on its heels through both the air and ground. Jennings led what was primarily a short, controlled passing attack, and showed plenty of ability to pick up nice chunks of real estate with his feet when called upon. The 23-year-old Saginaw Valley product looks primed to be one of the CFL's breakout stars in 2016, considering his well-diversified skill set.

June 18, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Jennings was 16-for-20 with 173 yards and a touchdown in Friday's 31-21 preseason loss to the Stampeders. He also gained five yards on two rushes.

Jennings looked outstanding in his final tuneup for the regular season, and averaged 10.8 yards over his 16 completions. The 23-year-old took the reins of the starting job in 2015 after injuries to Travis Lulay and John Beck, generating a 3-3 record over his six starts while amassing 2,004 yards and 15 touchdowns through the air. Now signed through the 2018 season, the Saginaw Valley product appears primed for his first full pro season as a starter.
