RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Roosevelt (lower leg) was placed on the six-game injured list Saturday.

It's not entirely clear what type of setback Roosevelt is dealing with, or when he will be ready to return, but he was unable to play in the Roughriders' last game Sunday and will miss further action. Fellow receiver Ricky Collins also landed on the six-game injured list over the weekend, which left Caleb Holley and Armanti Edwards to serve as Saskatchewan's top receivers in Week 13.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Roosevelt (undisclosed) will not play Sunday against the visiting Eskimos and remains out indefinitely, Jamie Nye of 650 CKOM reports.

Details about Roosevelt's injury remain unclear, but there's not much reason to rush him back as the Roughriders are sitting at 1-10 heading into Week 13.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Roosevelt did not participate in practice Thursday for the second day in a row, according to Ian Hamilton of the Regina Leader-Post.

It's still not clear why Roosevelt is being held out of practice this week, but the back-to-back absences leave him questionable for the Roughriders' next game Sunday against the Eskimos.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Roosevelt sat out of practice on Wednesday, and will be re-evaluated in the evening, Kyle Galliver of Global Regina reports.

Roosevelt, the No. 1 slot back for the Roughriders, has hauled in 76 passes for 1,095 yards and two touchdowns this season. There will be more updates on his status after he is re-evaluated.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Roosevelt hauled in six receptions for 121 yards and a touchdown in Saturday's 17-10 loss to the Blue Bombers.

The touchdown was notably Roosevelt's first since back in Week 5 against the Redblacks. Roosevelt has come alive in the last three weeks after a couple of down weeks, totaling 25 receptions for 393 yards and Saturday's end zone visit over that span. Given his customary role as Darian Durant's top target, he figures to continue serving as one of the higher-volume receivers in the league for fantasy purposes for the balance of the campaign.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Roosevelt caught eight passes for 97 yards in Sunday's loss to the Blue Bombers.

Caleb Holley's emergence has given opposition defenses something else to worry about, but Roosevelt has continued to put up strong numbers even if he no longer may be Darian Durant's unquestioned top target.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Roosevelt was a standout in Friday's 33-25 loss to the Eskimos, hauling in 11 receptions for 175 yards.

Darian Durant's favorite target set a season high in receptions on a night where the Roughriders were forced to once again attempt to overcome a large second-half deficit. Roosevelt hauled in a game-long 43-yard catch from backup QB Brandon Bridge in the third quarter, while also drawing a key pass interference call later in the same drive that set up Durant's first of two rushing touchdowns on the night. The performance was Roosevelt's first 100-yard output since Week 5 against the Redblacks, a game in which he posted a season-best 182 yards receiving. With the Riders' propensity for falling behind by significant margins, Roosevelt should continue to see a considerable amount of opportunity throughout the balance of the campaign.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Roosevelt totaled 61 yards on four receptions in Saturday's 53-7 loss to the Ti-Cats.

A week after serving as the team's leading receiver, Roosevelt took a back seat to Caleb Holley on the night. The 28-year-old still figures to have a prominent role in the offense going forward, but may see some of his targets dwindle with Holley in the fold. Roosevelt has not cracked the 100-yard mark since Week 5, which is also the last game in which he scored.

August 14, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Roosevelt caught eight passes for 79 yards, both team highs, in Saturday's loss to the Stampeders.

It's fifth time in seven games that Roosevelt has caught at least seven passes and he's now third in the league in both receptions (47) and targets (73) behind Edmonton's dynamic duo of Derel Walker and Adarius Bowman. The 'Riders don't have too many other reliable options in the passing game, so expect Roosevelt to continue seeing a high volume of looks.

July 30, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Roosevelt caught seven passes for 67 yards in Friday's blowout loss to the Alouettes.

Quarterback Mitchell Gale was ineffective at best Friday, but Roosevelt remained somewhat productive even without Darian Durant (leg) delivering the ball to him. The second-year receiver now has 37 catches for 544 yards and a score in five games, but Roosevelt's proven he's capable of much bigger lines than Friday's when Durant is under center, which could be the case again as soon as next week.

July 23, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Roosevelt totaled 182 yards and a touchdown on eight receptions in Friday's 30-29 victory over the Redblacks.

The 28-year-old wideout put on an impressive showing and demonstrated that he has elevated himself to the No.1 receiver mantle, surpassing his reception total from the 10 games he played in 2015 with Friday's effort. Roosevelt exploded for a dynamic 89-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter to reduce the Redblacks' deficit to 26-24, and then was able to haul in a 32-yard catch with 9:07 remaining on a drive that would eventually lead to a Tyler Crapigna field goal. The University of Buffalo product is now also just 11 yards short of last season's 488-yard receiving total, a number he figures to blow by in next week's matchup versus the Als.

July 17, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Roosevelt tallied a game-high 132 yards receiving on eight catches in Saturday's 40-27 loss to the Lions.

While he didn't get in the end zone, Roosevelt was clearly the favorite target of both Darian Durant and Mitchell Gale on the night. The 28-year-old is now just three catches away from matching his total for all of 2015, although he's yet to record a touchdown. Roosevelt does have two 100-yards games through the Roughriders' first three contests, preserving his fantasy value despite the lack of scoring to date.

July 9, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Roosevelt caught five passes for 50 yards in Friday's loss to the Eskimos.

Darian Durant was spreading the ball around pretty well Friday, as six different receivers (plus RB Curtis Steele) caught passes and four different players pulled down TD passes. Ricky Collins seems to be emerging as Durant's favorite target though, and Roosevelt's production figures to remain somewhat inconsistent going forward if he remains a secondary option in one of the CFL's weaker passing attacks.

July 1, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Roosevelt totaled 113 yards on nine receptions in Thursday's season-opening 30-17 loss to the Argos. He also fumbled once.

The 28-year-old got the season off to a positive start overall, although he was unable to find the end zone on his nine receptions. Roosevelt immediately looked like quarterback Darian Durant's favorite target, a positive development considering that the two have had limited opportunity to develop any chemistry due to the latter's season-ending injury in the 2015 opener. The University of Buffalo product looks primed for a prolific season considering his ability to get downfield and Durant's proficiency behind center.

June 19, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Roosevelt hauled in four receptions for 63 yards in Saturday's 25-11 preseason loss to the Eskimos.

The 28-year-old wideout's yardage total was second on the night for the Roughriders, and he appears primed to build on his successful CFL debut season. Roosevelt totaled 488 yards on 25 receptions in 10 games for Saskatchewan in 2015, while also hauling in five touchdowns. Saturday's preseason finale provided Roosevelt his first opportunity to build on-the-field rapport with veteran quarterback Darian Durant, who missed all but the opener last season with an Achilles injury.
