Elliot was seen taking first team reps during Wednesday's practice, AJ Jakubec of TSN Radio 1200 reports.

With Joshua Stangby (undisclosed) questionable and not in uniform during Wednesday's practice, Elliot was given first team duties. If Stangby is ultimately held out, it appears the Redblacks have confidence in replacing him with Elliot during Friday's game against the Blue Bombers.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Elliott has agreed to a contract with the Redblacks, Tim Baines of the Ottawa Sun reports.

With receiver Kenny Shaw (knee) probably out for the remainder of the 2017 season, the Redblacks have opted to sign Elliott -- a former Alouette and Tigercat. He won't play Sunday, however, as he'll go through reps on the practice roster for a week before taking the field for his new team. The 6-foot-3 receiver out of Florida A&M has appeared in 29 CFL games over his three-year career, catching 92 passes for 1,210 yards and 11 touchdowns.

Elliott was released by the Tiger-Cats on Tuesday.

With Elliott's injury leaving his availability in question for Saturday's game against Winnipeg, the Tiger-Cats decided to cut ties with the wideout and fortify their depth at the position by signing Gerell Robinson. The 28-year-old Elliott had appeared in two games this season for the Tiger-Cats, logging four catches for 54 yards.

July 7, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Elliott is not listed on the depth chart for Saturday's game against the Roughriders.

Elliott worked as a starter in Hamilton's season opener, but he will not only lose his starting spot coming out of the team's Week 2 bye, but his spot on the active roster as well.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Elliott is not expected to start Saturday's game against the Roughriders, 3 Down Nation reports.

June 25, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Elliott is listed as a starting slotback for Sunday's season opener against the Argonauts.

Elliott will get a shot at revenge in Week 1 as he and the rest of the Tiger-Cats take on the team that released him before last season came to a close. Elliott notched 102 yards in his first game with the Tiger-Cats in Week 18 of 2016, but be totaled just 126 yards over the three other games he appeared in with Hamilton.

February 26, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Elliott will return to the Tiger-Cats in 2017, Drew Edwards of 3DownNation.com reports.

Elliott initially signed on with Hamilton last October after Toronto unexpectedly released him mid-season. Across 11 games played, the receiver notched 50 receptions for 514 yards and three scores. The Ti-Cats' deep receiving corps could make it difficult for Elliott to improve upon those numbers on a per-game basis in 2017.

October 29, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Elliott collected 72 yards on five receptions in Friday's 29-26 loss to the Eskimos.

The move to Hamilton seems to have suited Elliott well, as he's now notched 10 catches for 174 yards and a score over his first two weeks in a Ti-Cats uniform. The particularly encouraging aspect of Friday's performance is that it came with his second QB in as many weeks, as Zach Collaros (concussion) returned to the field after Elliott caught passes from Jeremiah Masoli last week. He'll look to continue his solid stretch of play in Week 20 versus the Als.

October 22, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Elliott totaled five receptions for 102 yards and a touchdown in Friday's 39-36 overtime win over the Redblacks.

Elliott got into the end zone in his Ti-Cats debut, hauling in a first-half touchdown pass from Jeremiah Masoli that began a comeback from a 17-3 deficit. The 27-year-old's receiving yardage total was a team high on the night and also represented his first 100-yard game of the season. Elliott could play a key role in a Week 19 contest against the Eskimos that could turn into another shootout and serve as a key threat in the postseason as well if Hamilton is able to secure the East Division title.

October 20, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Elliott (undisclosed) is listed as a starting slotback on the depth chart for Friday's game against the Redblacks.

Elliott landed on the one-game injured list last week after signing with the Tiger-Cats two weeks ago, but he is set to make his team debut in Week 18. Elliott's production this season with the Argonauts was inconsistent, but he did put up viable fantasy stats on a few occasions and has shown the ability to get in the end zone during his career, scoring 10 times in 24 career games.

October 13, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Elliott is not listed on the depth chart for Friday's game against the Redblacks.

Elliott joined the Tiger-Cats last week after being released by the Argonauts, but he will not immediately suit up for his new team, and will serve as depth at the receiver position for the time being.

October 6, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Elliott agreed to a contract with the Tiger-Cats on Thursday, 3DownNation reports.

Elliott will join a new team just a few days after being released by the Argonauts for reasons other than his performance. He will improve the wideout depth for a Hamilton team that has been hit hard by injuries at the position.

October 3, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Elliott was released by the Argonauts on Monday, 3DownNation reports.

Elliott had a productive last six games for the Argonauts, but behind-the-scenes issues led the team to remove him and three other receivers from the roster Monday. Elliott has totaled just 294 yards in an injury-shortened season, but he has scored 10 touchdowns in 24 career CFL games, so he may garner interest from a team looking for receiver help.

September 24, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Elliott caught four passes for 46 yards and a touchdown in Friday's loss to the Redblacks.

It's an encouraging sign for Elliott's value the rest of the year that he hauled in Drew Willy's first TD pass as an Argo. Vidal Hazelton also returned to action Friday, which could limit Elliott's targets going forward, but if he establishes some chemistry with Willy quickly he could maintain the role in the offense that has seen him catch 19 passes for 265 yards and two touchdowns over the last four games.

September 12, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Elliott caught six passes for 91 yards in Sunday's win over the Tiger-Cats.

After failing to hit the score sheet last week against Hamilton, Elliott rebounded with a strong effort in Dan LeFevour's first start for the Argos. If he continues to show good chemistry with Toronto's new starting QB, Elliott could be poised for a big finish to the season.

September 1, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Elliott totaled 89 yards and a touchdown on six catches in Wednesday's 16-13 loss to the Lions.

The second-year receiver put together the first impactful performance of his injury-shortened season, capping off a five-play, 73-yard opening drive with his first score of the campaign on a 31-yard strike from Ricky Ray. Elliott missed six games with a shoulder injury earlier in the season, and had only totaled two receptions for 15 yards since returning. Wednesday's performance may help kickstart what was expected to be breakout sophomore campaign, following a rookie season in which the Florida A & M product generated 50 receptions for 642 yards and eight scores

August 19, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Elliott returns to the Argonauts active roster after a six-game stint on the injured list.

Elliott figures to return from a shoulder injury for Saturday's matchup against the Eskimos, although it's unclear if he'll be eased back into action. He'll be one of the team's top slotbacks moving forward, barring any setbacks.

June 29, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Elliott (shoulder) has been placed on the 6-game injured list.

The severity of the shoulder injury that knocked Elliott out of the Argonauts' season opener is not known, but the setback will sideline him until Week 9 at the earliest. With Elliott out, the Argonauts will roll with Kenny Shaw, Wallace Miles, and Anthony Coombs as their starting slotbacks.

June 24, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Elliott left Thursday's game in the first half with a shoulder injury and did not return, Matthew Scianitti of TSN reports.

The Argos have a number of young WRs on the roster so they had no need to rush Elliott back into action Thursday. There's no word yet on the severity of the injury, but he'll need to get back on the field quickly to avoid slipping down the depth chart.
