Woodson was a candidate to grab the backup job behind starter Jerome Messam, but his pursuit was put on hold by his leg injury, and his season debut will now be as well. Roy Finch is set to open the season as the Stampeders' No. 2 back.

Woodson carried the ball six times for 23 yards and a touchdown in Saturday's loss to the Alouettes.

He led the Ti-Cats in rushing in a game where they rested most of their starters, and the TD was actually Woodson's first in the CFL despite bouncing around the league since 2012. Don't expect him to have a large role next Sunday when Hamilton hosts Edmonton in the Eastern Semifinal.

Woodson (undisclosed) took part in Tuesday's practice, 3DownNation reports.

Woodson spent the last couple weeks on the injured list, but it appears he could be available for the Tiger-Cats' Week 20 finale. If he is able to suit up, and starting running back C.J. Gable is rested, he would likely be Hamilton's primary running back.

Woodson (undisclosed) was placed on the one-game injured list for Week 18.

Woodson will spend another week on the injured list, and has no suited up since Week 14. Mercer Timmis will serve as the Tiger-Cats' backup running back Friday behind C.J. Gable.

Woodson was scratched from Saturday's lineup against Calgary, Drew Edwards of the Hamilton Spectator reports.

Woodson has only seven rushing attempts on the season for 39 yards which could be a reason why the Tiger-Cats are going without him this week.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Woodson is listed as the No. 2 running back for this week's game against the Blue Bombers.

Woodson is set to make his season debut this week after sitting out the Tiger-Cats' first two games. It remains to be seen how much action he will see, however, as C.J. Gable is the only Hamilton running back to record a rushing attempt this season.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Woodson will open the season on the 1-game injured list due to an undisclosed injury.

The Tiger-Cats have also moved running back Mercer Timmis to the 6-game injured list, leaving Hamilton quite thin at the position ahead of Thursday's matchup with the Argonauts. Look for C.J. Gable to draw the start with Ross Scheuerman second in line for carries.

Woodson is "banged up" to begin the season, the Hamilton Spectator reports.

Woodson's exact injury isn't know, but Hamilton will have depth issues at RB with Mercer Timmis also hurt.
