Matt Hamill    Other    Light Heavyweight
Hamill defeated Luiz Cane via KO (punches) at 0:38 in the first round in Friday's Fight2Night 2 in Parana, Brazil.

Fantasy Analysis

Hamill is a 40-year-old UFC veteran with a career record of 12-8 overall. Most know Hamill for his victory over Jon Jones, who was disqualified for an illegal elbow throw in their matchup, and gave Jones his only career loss. This win over Luiz Cane is his first since 2012, and came from a series of punches that took down Cane in only 38 seconds.
Luke Jumeau    UFC    Welterweight
Jumeau will face Dominique Steele in a welterweight matchup at UFC Fight Night 110 on June 11 at Vector Arena in Auckland, New Zealand, Danny Segura of MMAFighting.com reports.

Fantasy Analysis

Jumeau will make his UFC debut against Dominique Steele with an 11-3 career record. He will enter the cage on a win streak of six, four of which were KO/TKOs. The New Zealander will be a good challenge for Steele, who is coming off two straight losses.
Dominique Steele    UFC    Welterweight
Steele will face Luke Jumeau in a welterweight bout at UFC Fight Night 110 on June 11 at Vector Arena in Auckland, New Zealand, Danny Segura of MMAFighting.com reports.

Fantasy Analysis

Steele is coming off back-to-back losses on unanimous decisions (Danny Roberts, Court McGee) to take on newcomer Luke Jumeau. "Non-Stop Action-Packed" has a 1-3 record with the UFC since joining in 2013, but his statistics show him to be a formidable fighter in the wrestling department. He owns a 59 percent takedown accuracy on 3.47 average attempts per 15 minutes, and a 79 percent takedown defense.
Germaine de Randamie    UFC    Featherweight
De Randamie (hand) is unlikely to fight at UFC 214 on July 29 at the Honda Center in Anaheim, Ariel Helwani of MMAFighting.com reports.

Fantasy Analysis

De Randamie has been dealing with a nagging hand injury, which has led her to consider surgery in advance of a rumored fight against Cris Cyborg. It is unlikely that "The Iron Lady" will be able to compete in what could have been her first title defense this July. Instead, De Randamie could be pushed back until the fourth quarter of 2017. If that turns out to be the case, the UFC may force her to vacate her featherweight championship.
Ronaldo Souza    UFC    Middleweight
Souza underwent pectoral surgery Thursday, Guilherme Cruz of MMAFighting.com reports.

Fantasy Analysis

Souza suffered a pectoral rupture during his surprise loss to Robert Whittaker at UFC on FOX 24 back on April 15, and this procedure is expected to correct the issue long-term. In a statement issued by Souza, the middleweight contender stated "I'm feeling relieved. I'm already recovering well, and I'll move one step at a time towards my comeback to training and to the Octagon. I'll be back soon, stronger and even hungrier to fight." A timeline for his return won't be determined until after he begins physical therapy, but for perspective, NFL players that suffer this type of injury typically need a five-to-six month recovery period. The 37-year-old risked a lot by accepting his latest fight against Whittaker, and it burned him in a big way, both in terms of health and his quest for the belt.
Nate Marquardt    UFC    Middleweight
Marquardt is scheduled to fight Vitor Belfort at UFC 212 on June 3 in Rio de Janeiro, Danny Segura of MMAFighting.com reports.

Fantasy Analysis

The 38-year-old Marquardt appears to be approaching the twilight of his career considering the veteran has dropped seven of his last 10 fights, with his last coming at the hand of Sam Alvey back on Jan. 28 on a unanimous decision. However, Belfort has also been struggling, as the 40-year-old is just 1-4 across his last five bouts himself.
Vitor Belfort    UFC    Middleweight
Belfort is scheduled to fight Nate Marquardt at UFC 212 on June 3 in Rio de Janeiro, Danny Segura of MMAFighting.com reports.

Fantasy Analysis

This fight will mark the last of Belfort's storied career, as the 40-year-old MMA legend simply doesn't believe his body can handle the grueling demands of the sport for much longer. Considering he's just 1-4 across his last five bouts, we'd probably agree. Fortunately for him, his opposition hasn't fared much better of late; the 38-year-old Nate Marquardt is 2-4 across his past six fights.
Haim Gozali    Bellator    Welterweight
Gozali will face Ryan Couture in a welterweight contest at Bellator 180 on June 24 at Madison Square Garden in New York.

Fantasy Analysis

Gozali has a 7-3 record with six submissions but has not been a big part of the fight scene for a while. He has only had one fight (November 2016) since 2012, which ended in a submission (heel hook) over Zane Clerk.
Ryan Couture    Bellator    Lightweight
Couture will face Haim Gozali in a welterweight matchup at Bellator 180 on June 24 at Madison Square Garden in New York.

Fantasy Analysis

Couture faces Haim Gozali after back-to-back losses this year (10-5 overall). The American will be moving up a weight class from his normal lightweight category for this fight.
Jared Cannonier    UFC    Light Heavyweight
Cannonier will face Steve Bosse in a light heavyweight bout at the TUF 25 Finale on July 7 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Dave Doyle at MMAFighting.com reports.

Fantasy Analysis

Cannonier matches his opponent, Steve Bosse, in being a stand-up artist. He has less significant strikes landed per minute (3.28 to 5.99) than Bosse but his accuracy is slightly higher (60 percent to 52 percent). "The Killa Gorilla" will probably avoid the mat because his takedown statistics show a 30 percent takedown defense with only two unsuccessful takedowns attempted on offensive end in four fights with the UFC. Cannonier proved to be a tougher challenge than expected in a unanimous-decision loss to Glover Teixeira in his last bout, so he may be one to look out for.
Steve Bosse    UFC    Middleweight
Bosse will face Jared Cannonier in a light heavyweight bout at the TUF 25 Finale on July 7 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Dave Doyle at MMAFighting.com reports.

Fantasy Analysis

"The Boss" will come out swinging at this matchup with Jared Cannonier. Eleven of the fights in the Canadian's career (12-2) have ended in KO/TKO. Over a three-fight sampling, Bosse lands an incredible 5.99 average significant strikes per minute while keeping a 100 percent takedown defense.
Justin Gaethje    UFC    Lightweight
According to WSOF President Ray Sefo, Gaethje is headed for the UFC, though Ariel Helwani of MMAFighting.com reports it is not yet a done deal.

Fantasy Analysis

After fighting his way to a perfect record in the World Series of Fighting (soon to be "Pro Fighters League") promotion, Gaethje will take his talents to the big show and will attempt to work his way up in a tough lightweight division, one of the deepest the UFC has to offer. The 28-year-old is an exciting fighter and could draw a big fight as early as the summer, should negotiations work out as planned. According to ESPN's Brett Okamoto, Gaethje's top choices for his debut would be Edson Barboza, Tony Ferguson or Al Iaquinta.
Omari Akhmedov    UFC    Welterweight
Akhmedov will face Abdul Razak Alhassan in a welterweight matchup at UFC Fight Night 109 on May 28 in Stockholm, Dave Doyle of MMAFighting.com reports.

Fantasy Analysis

Akhmedov has been with the UFC since 2013 and has faced some key names such as Gunnar Nelson and Sergio Moraes, but has been largely inconsistent over the last few years. The American Top Team product will have an experience advantage, though momentum lands on the side of Alhassan, who is 7-0 in his career with a 100 percent KO/TKO rate.
Abdul Razak Alhassan    UFC    Welterweight
Alhassan will face Omari Akhmedov in a welterweight matchup at UFC Fight Night 109 on May 28 in Stockholm, Dave Doyle of MMAFighting.com reports.

Fantasy Analysis

Alhassan has been on a tear since getting into the fight game, starting his career 7-0 with a 100 percent KO/TKO rate. He'll take on a UFC veteran in Akhmedov, who is 4-3 under the UFC banner, but lost two of his last three bouts. If Alhassan can keep his stoppage streak going, he won't be scheduled on the prelims for much longer.
Jim Wallhead    UFC    Welterweight
Wallhead will make his second UFC appearance at UFC 212 on June 3 in Brazil against Luan Chagas, MMAFighting.com reports.

Fantasy Analysis

Wallhead (29-10) dropped his debut back in September in a split-decision loss to Jessin Ayari. Chagas (14-2-1) is making just his third UFC appearance and has also yet to record a win.
