Larrier (knee) will be medically cleared in August, Jon Rothstein of FanRag Sports reports.

Larrier has now essentially been away from basketball for two seasons after sitting out the 2015-16 year following his transfer from VCU and playing in just four games last season before going down with a torn ACL. He averaged 13.5 minutes per game in his short stint with the Huskies and is expected to take on a large role on the wing for UConn this coming season.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Larrier will miss the remainder of the 2016-17 season due to a torn left ACL, ESPN's Jeff Borzello reports.

Larrier suffered what was originally called a sprained knee on Monday, but further tests revealed a worst-case scenario. Despite the Huskies' struggles, the VCU transfer had been making an impact, averaging 16.7 PPG and 5.7 RPG through his first three full games. Larrier's absence will likely place freshman wing Vance Jackson in the starting lineup, while fellow freshman Christian Vital will see added minutes as well. Look for Larrier to apply for an extra year of eligibility from the NCAA.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Larrier suffered a sprained left knee in Monday's loss to Oklahoma State, ESPN.com reports.

Larrier appeared to be in visible pain after suffering the injury eight minutes into the contest, and was unable to put weight on the afflicted leg when being helped off the court. It's a big loss for the Huskies, as Larrier had been second on the team in both scoring (13.5 PPG) and rebounding (5.0 RPG) since the beginning of 2016-17. Look for freshman guard Christian Vital to see a boost in minutes while Larrier, a VCU transfer, is on the shelf.

Larrier led the way in a losing effort for the Huskies, scoring 19 points to go along with seven rebounds.

Larrier is fresh off a year on the shelf, as he was required to sit the 2015-16 season after transferring from VCU.The 6-8 forward averaged 6.6 points and 3.0 boards during his freshman campaign with the Rams, and now appears poised to take on a key role with UConn.

Larrier announced Thursday that he will transfer to UConn, Evan Daniels of Scout.com reports.

Larrier averaged 6.6 points and 3.0 rebounds as a freshman for VCU last season, and he'll now be required to sit out the entirety of the 2015-16 season, per NCAA rules. The Bronx native, considered a four-star recruit by 247 Sports coming out of high, will have three years of eligibility remaining, beginning in the fall of 2016.

Larrier announced Wednesday that he will transfer from VCU, Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports reports.

As a freshman last season, Larrier averaged 6.6 points and 3.0 rebounds in 18.5 minutes per game but shot only 34.3 percent from the field. He's yet to announce where he'll transfer, but assuming he's not granted a waiver he'll be required to sit out the 2015-16 season.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Larrier led the Rams with 15 points while adding four rebounds, two assists and a steal Tuesday against George Washington.

Larrier, who is one of the more heralded recruits in school history, has been inconsistent in his production as a freshman. He's averaging 7.1 points and 2.5 rebounds on the year, and because his minutes fluctuate dramatically, he's not a terrific choice in daily leagues.
