Lynch had his best game of the early season with 18 points (8-12 FG, 2-3 FT), 12 rebounds, nine blocks, and six assists in the win over Niagara on Wednesday.

Lynch looks fully recovered from offseason knee surgery. He has a pair of double-doubles in three games and has blocked 17 shots. The former Illinois State transfer and forward Jordan Murphy form one of the best frontcourt combos in the Big 10.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Lynch (knee) has been cleared for full-contact activities, Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports reports.

Lynch had been on the sidelines with several teammates, but according to head coach Richard Pitino, the entire active roster is now cleared for full contact. This is excellent news for the reigning Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year, as Lynch should have little-to-no issue suiting up for the Nov. 10 opener against USC Upstate. Look for him to start at center, forming a dynamic frontcourt duo with power forward Jordan Murphy. While Lynch leaves a bit to be desired in the scoring department (he's never averaged double figures in his collegiate career), he helps fantasy owners tremendously in the blocks category -- one that can be tough to scrape together production in. Lynch averaged 3.7 rejections per contest in Big Ten play during his junior campaign, and recorded the second-highest single-game total in conference history (11) in a Feb. 25 matchup against Purdue.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Lynch (knee) could be cleared for contact as early as Thursday, Marcus Fuller of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.

Lynch underwent knee surgery in early-September, and although he hasn't gotten back on the court as fast as originally hoped, it won't be long until the big man is participating in live scrimmages. Coach Richard Pitino didn't give a definitive answer on Lynch's clearance, but his statement seems to indicate that Lynch's status is not in jeopardy for the regular season opener Nov. 10 against USC Upstate. Barring any setbacks, Lynch should serve as the Gophers' starting center after starting 33 games for the team last season. His main contributions are on the defensive end, as Lynch is projected to be the top source of blocks in the conference after averaging 3.5 rejections per game a season ago.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Lynch will be cleared for full contact next week according to Coach Richard Pitino, Marcus R. Fuller of the Star Tribune reports.

Lynch's knee surgery was very similar to an injury he had last season. With this news, it's clear he'll be ready to go by the start of the season.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Lynch underwent minor knee surgery and will be out three weeks, Marcus Fuller of the Minneapolis Star-Tribune reports.

Fortunately for Lynch, it looks like he'll be 100 percent healthy for the start of the regular season. Lynch was a defensive force last season, averaging a Big Ten-leading 3.5 blocks per game en route to being the league's Defensive Player of the Year.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Lynch dominated in the paint with 11 blocks to go with nine points and three rebounds in the win over Penn State on Saturday.

While Lynch's offensive output of late may be disappointing, the Illinois State transfer has been defending the goal. Over his last six games, the senior has averaged 5.8 points and 4.5 blocks. The Golden Gophers have won seven straight games, so Lynch should get a first chance to go dancing in March.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Lynch had a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds before fouling out of Saturday's loss to Maryland. He added five blocks in the contest.

Foul trouble once again marred what could have been another excellent game for the Illinois State transfer. He fouled out for the fourth time in his last six games, but fortunately he was able to notch his second double-double of the year before leaving the game. Lynch continues to be a low-volume, high efficiency scorer that is a constant presence on the boards and a threat to rack up multiple blocks each time out.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Lynch double-doubled with 18 points (5-9 FG, 8-10 FT), 11 rebounds, three blocks and one assist in 28 minutes during Minnesota's win over Northern Illinois on Sunday.

Lynch had a massive game Monday, and was able to overcome previous free-throw struggles to prove he's a threat inside, whether he's fouled or not. The senior center is averaging 9.4 points, 7.0 rebounds, and 3.7 blocks in 22.0 minutes per game. This was his first double-double of the season. His next chance to produce will be against LIU Brooklyn on Wednesday.
