Doolittle (academics) has been suspended by the university for the upcoming fall semester, Ryan Aber of The Oklahoman reports.

With a semester-long suspension in place, Doolittle is set to miss most, if not all, of Oklahoma's non-conference schedule. Doolittle started 25 games as a freshman last season, averaging 9.1 points and 6.2 rebounds over 25.0 minutes and entered the summer in line for an expanded role in 2017-18. Aber notes that Brady Manek could fill in for Doolittle, and adds that Khadeem Lattin could see some minutes at power forward if need be.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Doolittle went off for a career-high 29 points (10-18 FG, 4-5 3Pt, 5-5 FT) while adding 10 rebounds in a losing effort at Texas on Monday.

Texas had non answers for Doolittle's inside-out versatility. The freshman's previous career high was 17 back on November 29th. This was also his third double digit rebounding performance of the year. Over his last three games, Doolittle is averaging 18.7 points and 10.7 rebounds in 33.7 minutes per game while shooting 53 percent from the field, 88 percent from the free-throw line, and 67 percent from downtown. He will need to have another strong game if the Sooners hope to knock of Florida this Saturday in the SEC/Big 12 Challenge.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Doolittle had his first career double-double in a 2OT loss to Iowa State on Saturday with 15 points (5-9 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 5-6 FT), 15 points, two assists, and a block.

Doolittle's minutes have been a bit up and down this season, but he has played at least 25 minutes in his last four games where his team went 2-2, but easily could have won all four. On the season the 6-7 freshman is averaging 7.4 points and 5.5 rebounds in 22.9 minutes per contest. The big man needs to be more efficient in the paint as he is shooting just 38 percent from the field. Oklahoma travels to Austin to take on Texas on Monday.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Doolittle played a productive 26 minutes off the bench in Oklahoma’s win over Texas Tech on Saturday, notching eight points, five rebounds, and an assist.

Benched after a 1-of-10 shooting performance against Kansas, the freshman forward continued to see consistent playing time within the Sooners’ lineup. Doolittle hasn’t had a breakout game this year, but could return to the starting lineup Wednesday against West Virginia.
