Copeland has withdrawn his name from the NBA Draft and will return to Nebraska, Jeff Goodman of ESPN.com reports.

As expected, the Cornhuskers' big man is returning to Lincoln after going through the draft process without hiring an agent. He is coming off a season in which he was second on the squad in scoring at 12.9 points per game and second in rebounding with 6.1 per contest. He averaged 30.7 minutes last year and will once again be a big part of the offense in his final season.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Copeland has declared for the NBA draft, but he will not hire an agent, Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports reports.

Although Copeland didn't lead the Cornhuskers in scoring, his 12.8 points per contest trailed only James Palmer (17.2) and he did more damage on the glass with 6.1 rebound on average. He will have an opportunity to go through the draft evaluation process, but the big man seems a likely candidate to return for his senior season in Lincoln.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Copeland put up 13 points (5-13 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 2-2 FT), four rebounds, and an assist in a 66-57 win over Indiana on Tuesday.

Copeland has scored in double figures in seven of the last eight games. During that stretch, the junior is putting up 15.4 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 2.1 three-pointers per game. He is also shooting 55 percent from the field and 53 percent from behind the arc. Copeland has perhaps been the biggest contributor in that stretch, which has seen Nebraska rocket to 21-9 with seven wins in their last eight games. They will close out the regular season on Sunday at home against Penn State.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Copeland had a game-high 23 points (9-15 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 2-2 FT), seven rebounds, two blocks, one assist, and a steal in the win over Rutgers on Wednesday.

This was the most points Copeland has scored since a 30 point effort way back on Nov. 19. Since the start of conference play, the senior is averaging 13.5 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 1.5 blocks per game, while shooting at a 51-percent clip. Copeland is the second leading scorer on the Huskers, trailing only James Palmer. Their next game will be hosting Iowa on Saturday.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Copeland supplied 21 points (7-13 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 5-7 FT), eight rebounds, two assists, two steals, and a block in the loss to Penn State on Friday.

The 6-9 forward's 21 points was tied for the team lead with Glynn Watson in a tough overtime loss. Copeland transferred after three seasons playing for Georgetown. This year he is setting career highs with 12.8 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 1.3 blocks per game. Copeland's 46 percent shooting percentage is also a career best. Nebraska will try to bounce back on Monday night against Illinois.

November 19, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Copeland went off for 30 points (12-14 FG, 3-4 3Pt, 3-4 FT) and eight rebounds in Sunday's 92-70 victory over North Dakota.

Copeland was expected to be a key contributor after transferring from Georgetown, and the 6-9 forward showed Nebraska fans that potential in the afternoon matchup. He surpassed 30 points just once during his Georgetown days, but now has the ability to be the focal point for the Cornhuskers. Look for steady points and contributions on the glass the rest of the way out.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Copeland has received a waiver from the NCAA and will be eligible for the entire 2017-18 season, Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports reports.

Copeland was a mid-season transfer away from Georgetown last season after seeing his workload decline. Normally, he wouldn't be able to take the floor until midway through the 2017-18 campaign, but the NCAA has granted him an exception. It's a huge win for Nebraska, as during the 2015-16 campaign, the forward posted 11.1 points, 5.4 rebounds and 2.0 assists across 32.0 minutes per contest.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Copeland will transfer to Nebraska, Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports reports.

Copeland saw a major minutes decline this year for Georgetown after putting together a pair of impressive seasons to start his career, which ultimately led to his decision to transfer. Due to NCAA transfer rules, he likely won't be able to see the floor until midway through next season, but expect Copeland to be a mainstay in Nebraska coach Tim Miles' rotation as soon as he is declared eligible.
