Lyle will transfer to New Mexico, Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports reports.

Lyle averaged 11.4 points in nearly 30 minutes per game before quitting the the team at Ohio State and getting arrested. He will now likely have to sit out a season before returning due to NCAA transfer rules. It's unclear why Lyle quit the Buckeyes in April, but he'll definitely make a difference on his new team once he is eligible.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Lyle quit the team in April and was arrested Friday evening in his hometown, Ari Wasserman of Cleveland.com reports.

The news about Lyle's departure from the team was initially thought to just be a rumor, but Cleveland.com was able to confirm with team sources that he did in fact quit on April 11. The sophomore guard was expected to be a key returner for coach Thad Matta's squad after posting 11.4 points per game while playing nearly 30 minutes per game last season.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Lyle (ankle) recorded 10 points, seven rebounds, five assists, and two steals Tuesday against Michigan State.

Lyle came off the bench in his return Tuesday, but he logged 28 minutes and made strong contributions across the board. He had recently been moved to the bench prior to missing last Saturday's game and had struggled to adjust, recording just five points in 39 combined minutes in two games prior to Tuesday. Look for Lyle to be a spark plug off the bench again Saturday when the Buckeyes host Nebraska.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Lyle (ankle) is not listed in the starting lineup for Tuesday's game against Michigan State.

Lyle did participate in pregame warmups but his absence from the starting lineup hints at the fact that he may be limited by his ankle injury. C.J. Jackson will get the start in the backcourt in place of Lyle on Tuesday.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Lyle (ankle) is a game-time decision for Tuesday's game against Michigan State, Jon Rothstein of FanRag Sports reports.

Lyle has been dealing with an ankle injury since early February but it hadn't caused him to miss time to this point. He did sit out of Saturday's loss to Maryland, but that pertained to a family issue. If Lyle does play Tuesday, it's possible that he'll be used in a reserve role as C.J. Jackson has started each of the last three games at point guard for the Buckeyes.

February 10, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Lyle (family issue) will not play Saturday in Maryland, Bill Landis of the Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.

In his absence, C.J. Jackson should see added minutes on the court. Lyle has averaged 11.3 points and nearly five assists per game while playing 30 minutes per game. He should be able to return on Tuesday at Michigan State.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Lyle will come off the bench again for Wednesday's game against Rutgers, Bill Landis of Cleveland.com reports.

Ohio State will stick with the starting lineup it deployed in Saturday's win over Michigan where Lyle played 23 minutes off the bench. C.J. Jackson, who started in place of Lyle against the Wolverines and scored eight points, will remain in the lineup Wednesday.

February 7, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Lyle (ankle) had three points (0-2 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 3-4 FT), two rebounds, two assists, and two steals in 23 minutes during Sunday's upset of Michigan.

Lyle contributed some good minutes off the bench in his return from an ankle injury. He should be able to work his way back into the starting lineup in the near future. Lyle's next chance to play will be Wednesday against a faltering Rutgers' squad.
