RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Pipkin is officially listed as the Alouettes' backup quarterback on the team's depth chart for Friday's contest against the Tiger-Cats.

Pipkin will make his CFL debut this weekend, and is expected to get a good look under center. Matthew Shiltz is set to start the game with Darian Durant (knee) ruled out, but it's anyone's guess as to how Montreal will wind up splitting the time between the two, especially with Drew Willy also on the active roster as the third-string quarterback.

Pipkin is set to receive some time at quarterback during Friday's game against Hamilton.

Bill Beacon of The Canadian Press reported that the team wants to get a good look at Pipkin's game in the Week 20 matchup with the Tiger-Cats. This will mark the first time in his short CFL career that Pipkin will see some action, although there's been no word on how many snaps or drives he will receive. With Darian Durant likely out with a knee injury, Matthew Shiltz is starting under center for the Alouettes.

Pipkin has been added to the Montreal roster.

Pipkin, coming out of Tiffin, a Division II school, did not get drafted in the NFL Draft this past year. The Arizona Cardinals briefly picked him up in late April before releasing him. Pipkin joins a crowded quarterback competition that includes current starter Darian Durant, ex-Miami Hurricane Jacory Harris, and ex-Oregon Duck Vernon Adams Jr.
