RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Lankford was removed from the team's depth chart for Saturday's game against Toronto, Ed Tait of reports.

Lankford will not suit up for this weekend's contest after seeing minimal action during Saturday's victory against the Lions. In his place, Chris Givens joins the roster at the slotback position, and Kevin Fogg is set to take over the return duties.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Lankford managed three receptions for 22 yards and netted 14 yards on his sole kickoff return in Saturday's 26-20 win over the Lions.

Lankford was one of several members of the Winnipeg wideout corps to see extended action in the offense with Darvin Adams (upper body) sidelined. The reception total was Lankford's highest since Week 6, a testament to how little he's typically involved in the offense. Due to the majority of his work coming on special teams, Lankford's fantasy utility is significantly limited.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Lankford was seen taking reps in Weston Dressler's (upper body) spot during Tuesday's practice, Ed Tait of reports.

As of Monday, Dressler will reportedly be out 'a couple of weeks', so someone will have to step up into his role. It appears that Lankford may be that man. More information about the team's slotback situation ahead of Saturday's game against the Eskimos should emerge throughout the week.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Lankford notched two receptions for 40 yards and totaled 97 yards on four kickoff returns in Saturday's 39-12 win over the Ti-Cats.

Lankford got the majority of his yardage on a 34-yard reception, but he was also fairly productive in the return game. The University of Illinois product has flashed some nice big-play upside in the last two games, as he also notched a 79-yard grab in Week 7. While his targets fluctuate weekly, Lankford serves as a modestly priced GPP option while Weston Dressler (lower body) remains on the injured list.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Lankford caught two passes for 82 yards and a touchdown while adding 70 yards on three kickoff returns in Friday's 33-30 win over the Redblacks.

He hauled in a 79-yard bomb from Matt Nichols to open the scoring for Winnipeg in the first quarter, and while he didn't do much as a receiver after that, the 25-year-old still made an impact on special teams. Expect Langford's role on offense to continue to grow with Weston Dressler (lower body) out of action and Kevin Fogg back to take some of the load in the return game.

August 3, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Lankford will line up as a starting slotback in Friday's matchup with the Redblacks.

Lankford was listed as a reserve last week, but he will move into the starting lineup for Week 7 with fellow slotback Weston Dressler (lower body) landing on the injured list. While Lankford could see more action on offense and is still listed as the Blue Bombers' primary kick returner, he will no longer return punts as he did earlier this season while Kevin Fogg was sidelined.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Lankford caught seven passes for 53 yards and a touchdown while adding 104 kick return yards in Thursday's 41-40 win over the Alouettes.

Weston Dressler (lower body) left the game in the first half and did not return, opening the door for Lankford to take on a much larger role in the offense. The 25-year-old responded with a career high in catches and his first receiving TD in the CFL, a four-yard grab inside the final minute of the game that set up Winnipeg's dramatic comeback win as time expired. If Dressler's injury keeps him sidelined, Lankford could be in line for another big game next week in Ottawa.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Lankford caught one pass for four yards and added 173 return yards, including a 105-yard touchdown on the opening kickoff, in Thursday's 33-25 win over the Argos.

Lankford's emerged as a big-time return threat over the last two games, although the injured Kevin Fogg (lower body) is no slouch in that area when he's healthy. It will be interesting to see how Winnipeg head coach Mike O'Shea deploys his two return weapons, and whether he tries to find ways to put the ball in their hands on offense as well, once Fogg is ready to get back on the field.

July 8, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Lankford caught one pass for 12 yards but added 116 return yards in Friday's 29-10 loss to the Stampeders.

Filling in for Kevin Fogg (lower body) as the Bombers' top kick and punt returner, Lankford gave Winnipeg some good field position but the offense was unable to capitalize. The catch was Lankford's first of the year, but with the team looking for productive downfield targets beyond Weston Dressler, Friday's special-teams performance could earn him some extra looks on offense moving forward.

July 6, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Lankford could be the Blue Bombers' top return man this week with Kevin Fogg on the injured list, according to Ed Tait of

Lankford is not likely to contribute much on offense as a reserve slotback, but with Fogg out this week, Lankford is the top option to replace him. Lankford returned nine kicks last week, and he was particularly effective on kickoffs, averaging 29.3 yards on six run-backs.

October 25, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Lankford was released by the Roughriders on Tuesday.

Lankford had tallied just four receptions in all since catching four passes in Week 7, so the Roughriders decided to make a roster change, and replaced Lankford with new signed Phil Bates.

October 6, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Lankford is not listed on the depth chart for Friday's matchup with the Redblacks.

Lankford suited up for the Roughriders' last two games, but he will be replaced on the depth chart this week by new addition Jeff Fuller.

August 19, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Lankford is not listed on the depth chart for Saturday's game against the Tiger-Cats.

Lankford's spot in the receiving corps will be taken over by the likes of Nic Demski and Caleb Holley, who will both start at wide receiver this week.

August 5, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Lankford caught four passes for 55 yards in Thursday's loss to the Stampeders.

Since moving into a larger role three games ago, Lankford has caught 15 passes for 140 yards. Those aren't game-changing numbers, but as the second-year receiver continues to develop a rapport with QB Darian Durant, Lankford could become a real threat in the second half of the season.

July 30, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Lankford caught five passes for 47 yards in Friday's blowout loss to the Alouettes.

The second-year slotback has his second straight decent performance since joining the starting lineup. He's a secondary option in the Roughriders' passing game, but as yet we haven't seen what he can do with first-string QB Darian Durant (leg) under center. Durant could return to action as soon as next week though, which would make Lankford an intriguing fantasy wild card.

July 22, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Lankford will be in the starting lineup for Friday's game against the Redblacks.

Lankford was not on the Roughriders' initial depth chart for Friday's game, but it turns out he will suit up and jump into the starting lineup in place of John Chiles, who was a late scratch from the roster.
