Stangby (undisclosed) is on the depth chart for Sunday's game with the Eskimos, AJ Jakubec of TSN 1200 Ottawa reports.

Stangby is listed as one of the team's backup wide receivers, behind Diontae Spencer and Dominique Rhymes. He wound up missing one game with an undisclosed injury, but was able to practice this week, and should be good to go for the playoff contest.

Stangby (undisclosed) was back at practice with the first-team offense Wednesday, AJ Jakubec of TSN 1200 Ottawa reports.

Stangby hasn't played in a game since Week 13 while he's recovered from an undisclosed injury, but could finally be back in action this weekend against the Roughriders. There will likely be a update later on this week, with the team's official depth chart coming out Saturday.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Stangby (undisclosed) is expected to practice Wednesday, the Ottawa Sun reports.

Stangby has not played since Week 13 due to his injury, but he will have a chance to get back on the field for Ottawa's postseason opener Sunday. Stangby's status for the Eastern Semi-Final will ultimately be determined later this week.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Stangby (undisclosed) has been ruled out for Friday's game against the Blue Bombers, Tim Baines of Postmedia reports.

Stangby was not at practice Wednesday, so his absence Friday doesn't come as much of a surprise. Stangby remains without an exact timetable, however, so he should be considered week-to-week at this point.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Stangby (undisclosed) wasn't seen at the beginning of Wednesday's practice, AJ Jakubec of TSN Radio 1200 reports.

The injury doesn't seem to be serious, though it's keeping Stangby out of practice. If he ultimately misses Friday's game against the Blue Bombers, Kevin Elliott could pick up some more targets.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Stangby caught four passes for 54 yards and a touchdown in Saturday's 26-22 loss to the Tiger-Cats.

He's now scored in consecutive games, giving the second-year receiver five TDs on the year. Stangby's emerging as a reliable option in the Ottawa passing game, and there is a cloud over the unit's future effectiveness should Trevor Harris' shoulder injury prove to be serious, it's worth noting that Stangby's touchdown Saturday was thrown by backup quarterback Drew Tate -- and Tate also looked Stangby's way on what would have been the winning score on the Redblacks' final drive.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Stangby logged five receptions for 49 yards and a touchdown in Thursday's 32-4 win over the Als.

Stangby's production tends to fluctuate, but he's now notched a respectable four touchdowns in 2017. The 24-year-old's 49 receiving yards represented his third-best total of the season, and he's posted nine receptions overall in the last two games. Stangby figures to remain the starting slotback in the wake of Kenny Shaw's season-ending knee injury and will look to turn in another productive effort versus the Ti-Cats in Week 12.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Stangby, in the wake of Kenny Shaw's (knee) likely season-ending injury, will move from wide receiver to slotback to take his spot in the lineup.

Stangby had been starting outside since Week 2, but has now been moved to an inside slot. That said, he's the third option inside, so the move is unlikely to have a significant impact on his production. On the year, he's posted 29 receptions for 343 yards and three touchdowns.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Stangby caught five passes for 78 yards in Thursday's 27-20 loss to Edmonton.

The 78 yards not only led the Redblacks in the game, it was also a season high for Stangby. The 26-year-old has been a consistent target this season for Trevor Harris, if not exactly an explosive one.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Stangby caught two passes for 19 yards and a touchdown in Friday's 33-30 loss to the Blue Bombers.

Despite only touching the ball 21 times through seven games, Stangby has now scored four TDs, an impressive run of production. His limited role in the offense will make it very difficult for the second-yard CFL player to continue having a fantasy impact, however, unless quarterback Trevor Harris makes a bigger effort to get the ball in his hands more often.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Stangby scored a 15-yard touchdown on his sole rush and totaled three receptions for 39 yards in Monday's 27-24 loss to the Argos.

Stangby continues to play a modest complementary role on offense while occasionally seeing return opportunities. Monday marked his fourth straight game with three receptions, while his early fourth-quarter rushing touchdown came on his first carry of the season. After only appearing in one game in 2016, Stangby appears to have some upside as a developmental project, and certainly stands to see some opportunity in the Redblacks' potent air attack as the season unfolds. He'll look to continue his development against the Blue Bombers in Week 7 following a Week 6 bye.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Stangby will start at wide receiver in Thursday's game against the Stampeders.

Stangby will move into the starting unit in place of the injured Kenny Shaw (undisclosed). Stangby filled in for an injured Shaw last week and totaled five receptions, 61 yards, and a touchdown on offense while also contributing 91 yards in the return game.

June 23, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Stangby caught five passes for 61 yards and a touchdown in Friday's 31-31 tie with the Stampeders.

After playing in just one game last season, Stangby made a great first impression in 2017, making a number of acrobatic catches including a leaping grab on a 32-yard TD early in the fourth quarter for his first career CFL score. Ottawa's Trevor Harris-led passing attack seems poised for big things this year, and Stangby could end up being one of its breakout performers.
