Florida running backs coach Greg Knox said Thursday that Davis (knee) is "coming along well" in his recovery from a season-ending injury, but there remains no official timetable for the running back's return to full activities, Ryan Young of SECCountry.com reports. "[Davis is] limited in certain things he does throughout our workouts, agility stuff. I think one thing we talked about was his weight, getting his weight up," Knox said. "We'll take him through spring and just see how he does."
Franks will be competing with Kyle Trask and freshman Emory Jones for the starting quarterback job beginning in spring practice, Ryan Young of SEC Country reports. "It's going to be open. We'll put everybody in the position to see what they can do...everybody is kind of starting from the same spot in terms of learning our offense," said new quarterbacks coach Brian Johnson.
Brennan will enter spring practice as LSU's starter, Ross Dellenger of The Advocate reports. "Yes, Myles will take the first snap of spring practice and all that. But as we get into teams and as we get into scrimmages and everything else, I've gotta allow these other kids, Lowell [Narcisse] and Justin [McMillan] to get with the first group and run the reps..." said new offensive coordinator Steve Ensminger.
