Chris Bennett's analysis of every NFL team's offensive line – with a focus on how it impacts fantasy football.
1. Philadelphia Eagles Good Stability / Good Health
Starters: Halapoulivaati Vaitai (LT), Stefen Wisniewski (LG), Jason Kelce (C), Brandon Brooks (RG), Lane Johnson (RT)
|2017 Offensive Ranks:|
|Rush YPG: 136.8 (4th)||Sacks Allowed: 24 (T-19th)|
|Pass YPG: 240.2 (14th)||QB Hits Allowed: 54 (T-21st)|
|Week 11 Opponent: at Dallas (Sunday night)|
|Rush YPG Allowed: 104.7 (12th)|
|Pass YPG Allowed: 221.2 (14th)|
|Sacks: 28 (T-5th)|
Injuries: Jason Peters (knee) I.R.
Backups: (T): Taylor Hart (G): Isaac Seumalo, Chance Warmack (C):
Fantasy Impact: While the offense continues to hum, the Eagles were dealt a major blow in Week 7 when left tackle Jason Peters was lost for the season due to a knee injury. For the time being, the plan is to keep Lane Johnson on the right side while allowing Halapoulivaati Vaitai the chance to take over protecting Carson Wentz's blind side. That doesn't seem like a recipe for success, and is a situation that is worth monitoring as October becomes November and December.
2. Pittsburgh Steelers Good Stability / Excellent Health
Starters: Alejandro Villanueva (LT), Ramon Foster (LG), Maurkice Pouncey (C), David DeCastro (RG), Marcus Gilbert (RT)
|2017 Offensive Ranks:|
|Rush YPG: 106.6 (18th)||Sacks Allowed: 11 (T-3rd)|
|Pass YPG: 251.9 (10th)||QB Hits Allowed: 34 (4th)|
|Week 11 Opponent: vs. Tennessee (Thursday night)|
|Rush YPG Allowed: 91.9 (6th)|
|Pass YPG Allowed: 236.4 (19th)|
|Sacks: 14 (T-28th)|
Backups: (T): Jerald Hawkins, Chris Hubbard (G): Matt Feiler (C): B.J. Finney
Fantasy Impact: As other units seem to peak and decline, the Steelers keep plugging along as status quo. While not a dominant unit, this unit is an vital part of the offensive success. With the weather getting colder, a heavier dose of running can be expected. It would be somewhat of a surprise if the Steelers weren't a Top-10 offense in all statistics here by season's end.
